Job summary

Senploy is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Suffolk for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant. The role focuses on supporting pupils in Lower Key Stage 2, helping pupils build confidence, independence and a love of learning during this important stage of their educational journey.

The successful candidate will support literacy, numeracy and the wider curriculum, assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and activities, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to work with individual pupils and small groups.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within a Year 3 SEND classroom.
• Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Experience with primary-aged and SEND pupils is desirable.
