Milk Education is seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant in Woolton (L25) to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism. The role is full-time and starts in September 2026, with potential to go permanent at the school.

Hours are 08:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll support learning, prepare resources, and help the pupil stay on task in a nurturing environment.

• Must have recent experience working with children and young people (in the past two years).
• Passion for education and reliable, punctual approach.

Year 2 Teaching Assistant – Woolton

Milk Education are working with a primary school in Woolton (L25) who are seeking a full‑time Year 2 Teaching Assistant to work 1‑2‑1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism. This temporary role starts in September 2026, with the potential to become permanent directly at the school.

The school is looking for someone patient, nurturing, and accommodating to the child's learning needs for this Year 2 Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30 am‑15:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This Year 2 Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they are doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensuring the child's needs are being met. In this Year 2 Teaching Assistant role, you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.

Role & Responsibilities

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
• Deliver catch‑up sessions

Non‑negotiables

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
• Must have a passion for education
• Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Must be reliable and punctual
