Job summary

Teaching Personnel is working with a friendly primary school in Southport to recruit a Year 2 Teacher on a part-time basis from December 2026. The days are TBC and will typically be two or three days per week.

The role supports KS1 development in a caring infant school where children are at the heart of everything. You will join a collaborative team focused on pupil achievement and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
  • Creates a positive and engaging classroom where every child can succeed.
  • Has high expectations for learning, behaviour and pupil achievement.
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons that support Key Stage 1 progression.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to plan and assess learners.
  • Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and transition to Key Stage 2.
  • Contribute to a happy, inclusive classroom environment.

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a lovely Primary school in Southportto recruit aYear 2 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from December 2026. The days are TBC in September, but it will be two/three days a week.
