Job summary

Master Class Education is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher for a full-time, permanent role in Newhaven, starting September 2026. The school is a Good Ofsted primary with two forms of entry, prioritising a warm, inclusive learning environment.

We’re looking for a passionate practitioner with high expectations, capable of delivering engaging KS1 lessons and building strong relationships with children and families. QTS is required; ECTs welcome to apply for this exciting post.

Qualifications

• Must be a reflective classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, with Year 2 experience desirable.
• Commitment to creating inspiring, inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Be a passionate and reflective practitioner in Year 2.
• Deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and support all learners.
• Create inclusive and engaging learning experiences aligned to KS1.
• Develop positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Contribute to a nurturing and safe learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with staff to plan and review progress.
• Support safeguarding and welfare checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Year 2 Class Teacher

Full Time | Permanent | MPS 1-4 | Start Date: September 2026

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from September 2026.

Our school is a Good Ofsted-rated, two-form entry primary school in the heart of Newhaven, where children are at the centre of everything we do.
