Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Year 2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school from January 2027 until the end of the summer term.

The role involves teaching Year 2 full-time, planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, supporting pupil progress and preparing them for transition to Key Stage 2, with ongoing support from the Aspire People team.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be a Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT).
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly reading, writing and mathematics.
• Confident in planning, delivering and assessing high-quality teaching.
• High expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and personal development.
• Able to adapt teaching to meet learners with different abilities and starting points.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Positive, reflective and collaborative team member committed to helping every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 2 class on a full-time basis.

The Role
