Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Year 2 Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Hillingdon, Outer London. The post is full-time and permanent, with ASAP start, and offers the Outer London MPS/UPS pay scale.

The successful candidate will lead a Year 2 class, deliver a high-quality KS1 curriculum, and prepare pupils for SATs while fostering confidence for Key Stage 2. ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome; QTS is required.

Qualifications

• UK recognised teaching qualification with QTS.
• Experience or strong placement in Key Stage 1 is essential.
• Knowledge of early literacy and phonics schemes (Read Write Inc., Little Wandle, Sounds-Write) preferred.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons aligned with KS1 National Curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for KS1 statutory assessments and moderation.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom with high expectations and good behaviour management.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, KS1 colleagues, and SENCO for SEND/EAL support.
• Communicate with parents and carers to strengthen home-school partnerships.
