Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a welcoming primary school in Borehamwood to recruit a Year 2 Class Teacher for a January 2027 start. The position is full-time and permanent, with salary dependent on experience (MPS/UPS).

The successful candidate will plan and deliver Year 2 lessons, support reading, writing and maths, use formative assessment to tailor next steps, and work with teaching assistants, colleagues and families to drive pupil progress.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Key Stage 1 and child development.
• Ability to create an inclusive, engaging Year 2 learning environment.
• Effective communication with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities
