Job summary

Educators Connected Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Year 1 Teacher for a part-time role in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. You will plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, ensuring a positive classroom environment and adherence to the KS1 curriculum.

The post is long-term with a 3-day per week schedule and a daily rate of £180–£230, dependent on experience and qualifications. QTS or equivalent is required; ECTs are welcome, and KS1 experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to a Year 1 class.
• Follow and deliver the KS1 curriculum effectively.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Requirements

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Previous experience teaching within a primary school is desirable.
• Experience working within KS1 / Year 1 is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary and KS1 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A positive, enthusiastic and committed approach to teaching.
• Availability to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Ability to start next week or shortly afterwards.
