Job summary

Ghost Hill Infant and Nursery School within Sapientia Education Trust is seeking a Year 1 Class Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover. The role requires a capable, energetic educator who can work effectively in a job-share and with a committed team to plan and deliver engaging lessons.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management, excellent communication, and a focus on pupil wellbeing and inclusive practice, including supporting children with SEND.

Qualifications

• Be an excellent teacher who understands effective teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Work within a year group team to plan and deliver lessons.
• Communicate well and show warmth and care in interactions.
• Value inclusive environments, high behaviour expectations and pupil wellbeing.
• Have experience with SEND and a track record of helping all children progress.
• Be a team player with professionalism, able to work with a job share.
