Shoscombe CofE Primary School in Bath is seeking an exceptional Year 1/Year 2 Class Teacher with an Arts Lead remit. You will deliver high-quality Key Stage 1 learning in a small rural setting and join a supportive team.

Role: Year 1 / Year 2 Class Teacher & Arts Lead

Location: Shoscombe Church School, St Julian's Road, Shoscombe, Bath, BA2 8NB

Start Date: 4th January 2027

Closing Date: Monday 28tth September 2026 at 8:00 AM

Successful candidates will be shortlisted on Wednesday 30th September

Interview Date: Week commencing Monday 5th October 2026

Hours: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Permanent Contract, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only plus 5 INSET days.

Salary: Main Pay Scale Range, M1 to M6 (£32,916 - £45,332 per annum, Full-Time Equivalent).

First and foremost, we are looking for a brilliant classroom practitioner who delivers high-quality Key Stage 1 learning. For interested candidates, there is also an exciting opportunity to take on the leadership of Arts across the school. Building upon our proud achievement of holding Artsmark Gold status, you will have the opportunity to help guide our journey towards Artsmark Platinum (with our Statement of Commitment already submitted).
