Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Yardman in Sittingbourne to support yard and workshop operations. You will assist with loading and unloading plant and materials, keep accurate yard inventory, and help with cleaning cabins and vehicles.

This temporary contract runs until the year-end, with a potential extension or permanent placement. A valid reach truck licence is essential, along with good organisation, time-keeping and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid reach truck licence.
• Strong organisational and time keeping skills.
• Physically fit.
• Previous experience with heavy plant is advantageous.

Job Title: Yardman (with reach truck licence)

Location: Sittingbourne

Contract Type: Temporary contract until the end of the year, with the potential to be extended or be taken on permanently

Salary: up to £15 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

I'm seeking a dedicated and reliable Plant Yardman for my client to assist in the yard / workshop. This role involves supporting various operations including cleaning plant machinery returned from site and any other general duties that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading and unloading plant and materials from lorries.

• Assist cleaning plant and cabins.
