Overview

Yard / Warehouse Operative

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £31,000 per annum

Location: Welham Green,AL9

Due to growth, our client is looking to add a colleague to the warehouse team at an established independent Builders Merchant. They are currently looking for experienced Forklift Drivers to assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy yard/warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift truck, picking orders, and moving stock around the site.
• Picking orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Checking loaded goods against delivery notes.
• Assisting Trade Counter customers as required.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Some manual handling is required.
• Adhering to Health and Safety regulations at all times.
• Shift pattern is 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; Alternate Saturdays, 7am to 1pm.

Person Specification

• Builders Merchant experience essential, however training will also be given.
• Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team.
• Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
• Be able to follow health and safety regulations. Good communication and customer service skills.
