Job summary

SIG Roofing is looking for a reliable Yard/Warehouse Operative to join our Bristol branch and help maintain high standards of service, accuracy and safety. You will handle receiving, storing, picking and loading stock, while upholding strong health and safety practices.

You’ll work in a supportive team, with opportunities to assist with stocktakes, overtime and customer collections. A forklift licence and good IT/numeracy skills are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence.
• Good data accuracy, numeracy and basic IT skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Previous warehouse or yard experience is advantageous.
• Flexible and adaptable with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse/yard.
• Prepare customer orders according to sales requirements and load them onto vehicles.
• Sign for deliveries, report stock breakages, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Carry out daily checks and maintain forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe working condition.
• Promote a “Everyone Safe, Every Day,” culture by ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues.
• Build positive relationships with customers at the collection and returns point.
• Be flexible and assist with stocktaking and overtime as required.

Yard/ Warehouse Operative at SIG Roofing

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Yard/ Warehouse Operative to join our team, helping us maintain our high standards of service, accuracy, and safety.

What does the role involve?

As a Yard/ Warehouse Operative you will be a key part of the day-to-day operations of the branch. Your role will focus on ensuring the receiving, storage, picking, and loading of stock is completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth running of the branch.
