Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial is hiring a Yard Operative for a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role based in Cheltenham. You will support the daily yard and warehouse operation, performing picking, packing and loading tasks.

The position offers weekly pay, standard hours Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, and potential for permanent employment. Previous yard or warehouse experience is beneficial but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail when preparing orders.
• Comfortable with physical work and lifting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders accurately for customer dispatch.
• Preparing, organising and loading orders for collection and delivery.
• Carrying out regular manual handling and lifting duties during the day.
• Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
• Cleaning and washing products and equipment as required.
• Inspecting items to ensure quality before dispatch.
• Organising stock and maintaining storage areas.
• Maintaining a clean, safe yard and warehouse environment.
• Carrying out general yard and warehouse duties as required.
