Jewson in Newton Abbot is recruiting a Yard Supervisor to lead a busy branch yard and warehouse operation. You’ll manage deliveries, stock, forklift loading, and support the branch management team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects.
• Get to know product lines to offer help and advice.
• Ensure the team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning.
• Process and prepare customer orders; load/unload vehicles using forklift (training provided).
• Support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed.
• Check deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
• Maintain stock levels in warehouse and yard with regular stock counts.
• Keep the branch clean and safe and prioritise health & safety.
• Suggest opportunities for improvement with colleagues.
