Job description

We are looking for an experienced Yard Supervisor to join our team at Mallusk. This is a hands‑on role responsible for overseeing daily yard operations, ensuring equipment is inspected and maintained to a high standard, and providing leadership and support to the yard team.

What You Will Do

• Oversee and carry out thorough inspections, cleaning and function testing of hire equipment, ensuring all equipment meets the required safety and quality standards before going out on hire
• Maintain an efficient yard ensuring workflows are well organised resulting in optimum availability of quality product.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, maintaining a safe, clean and organised working area.
• Provide guidance and training to the yard team, leading by example in terms of attitude and action.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain inventory, ensuring proper storage, labelling, and accessibility of materials as required.
• Allocate daily tasks to the yard team, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required standards.

What You Will Need

• Previous experience in a yard or equipment rental environment.
• Supervisory experience with a focus on team leadership.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 5pm & Friday 7.30am – 4pm, 41.5 hrs per week
