Job summary

Pertemps Milton Keynes is recruiting for an HGV Yard Shunter in Milton Keynes. This full-time role pays £15.53 per hour with a 4 on/4 off rotating pattern and 09:00–21:00 shifts. No HGV licence is required; training will be provided.

The successful candidate will move vehicles around the yard, check vehicles, and support the daily running of the depot, with long-term permanent opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Previous driving experience.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• A proactive and reliable approach to work.
• To be physically fit, as the role involves a significant amount of walking.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles safely around the yard.
• Park trailers and prepare units for drivers.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Wash and fuelling vehicles.
• Offload empty trays.
• Maintain a clean, safe yard.
• Support day-to-day running of the yard.
