Job summary

Frasers Group is recruiting a Yard Shunter to join the transport team in Shirebrook. The role focuses on safe movement of vehicles within the yard and assisting with loading operations across loading bays.

The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV licence, good communication, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Outdoor work and shift flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport/yard environment preferred
• Valid HGV licence (essential)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and flexible shift approach
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Safely manoeuvre vehicles between bays within the transport yard and across site delivery points
• Operate a range of vehicles, including shunt tugs and HGVs
• Position trailers and containers on loading bays for live and scheduled loading
• Work closely with Warehouse and Transport teams to ensure smooth operations
• Liaise with third-party and service provider drivers
• Ensure vehicles are available for inspection and maintenance as required
• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times

Job Description

The Role:
