Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Yard Shunter in Wakefield. You will perform yard shunting to support daily deliveries for our customers, with a 4 On/4 Off Nights pattern and 50 hours per week. The role includes safe yard operation, daily trailer checks, and efficient movement of loads.

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 entitlement.
• Self-motivated, flexible and reliable.
• Excellent driving skills and safe yard manners.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no disqualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Shunt to support daily deliveries to customers.
• Move trailers to loading/parking bays and manage yard traffic.
• Carry out daily trailer/yard checks for defects, loads and safety issues.
• Report trailer defects to site compliance team.
• Open and close curtains and handle strapping/load security.

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for an experienced Yard Shunter to join us, providing a first-class service with our team in Wakefield. You'll be undertaking shunting to support with daily deliveries to new and existing customers.

New Pass Drivers Welcome

The Details:

• Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Nights
• Salary: 44.204.50 Per Annum
• Hours Per Week: 50 Hours
• Start times: 17:30 / 12 hours
• Monthly Pay
• Parking onsite

Shunting Duties

• To maintain a safe and efficient yard by controlling all own and 3 rd party drivers coming into site daily with empty or loaded trailers.
• Carry out a twice daily trailer/yard check - identifying any defects/ staged loads/ H&S issues
• Movement of all warehouse loads inbound and outbound onto loading or parking bays
• Report all defects on trailers to site compliance manager
• Opening and closing curtains
• Strapping/ transhipping loads

HGV Shunter Requirements:

• Self motivated individual
• Dedicated flexible and reliable
• Full HGV Class 1 license entitlement
• Excellent, driving skills
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No previous disqualifications
