Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver/Shunter in Biggleswade to join our team. Duties include shunting and delivering to customer premises and MDS locations, with full training on POD systems and loading/unloading as needed.

Located in Biggleswade, the role offers a 4-on/4-off night shift pattern, 42 hours weekly, and a salary of £45,856.21 per annum with monthly pay and progression opportunities within a supportive benefits program.

Qualificações

• Full UK C+E licence (essential)
• 12 months class 1 driving experience (desirable)
• Good driving skills
• No more than 6 points on licence

• Moffett licence desirable with training provided

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver/Shunter to join us, providing a first-class service with our team in Biggleswade. You’ll be undertaking shunting duties along with the delivery & collection of products on behalf ofMenzies Distribution Solutions Limitedand its customers.

The Details:

• Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Nights
• Salary:£45,856.21 Per Annum, £20.99
• Start Times: Between 18:00
• Hours Per Week: 42 Hours
• Monthly Pay
• Parking onsite

Shunting and Driving Duties:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer’s premises or other MDS locations.
• Delivering product on behalf of MDS and their customer
• Use of electronic P.O.D and up to date technology (full training will be given to ensure best practice)
• Assisting with loading and unloading
• Moffett driving (training will be given)
• Types of vehicles range from van, rigid to class 1
• Opening and closing curtains
• Vehicle repairs
• Strapping/ transhipping loads
• Maintaining housekeeping standards
• Reporting H&S issues
• Liaising with the customer loading team

HGV Driver Requirements:

• A full UK C+E licence(essential)
• 12 months previous class 1 driving experience(desirable)
• Excellent driving skills
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No previous disqualifications (DD,TT,DR,CD,IN)
• ‘Right To Work’ in the UK
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations
• Moffett licence desirable but full training will be given
