Grn-Search-Group in Newry, Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Yard Shunter for a consistent Monday to Friday shift. You will safely move trailers and vehicles around the yard and support daily transport and distribution operations.

The role offers £16.27 per hour with overtime paid after 45 hours and two tax-free bonuses annually. This is a permanent position with an employee-owned company, training provided and a clear path for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence or recognised Yard Shunter certification.
• Previous experience in HGV driving, trailer shunting or yard operations.
• Confidence manoeuvring large vehicles and trailers in a busy environment.
• Safety-conscious approach and ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude towards your work.

Responsibilities

• Safely manoeuvre and position HGV trailers and vehicles around the yard.
• Support daily transport, loading and distribution operations.
• Ensure trailers are positioned correctly to meet operational requirements.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and operational efficiency.

Are you an experienced Yard Shunter or Class 1 HGV Driver looking for a consistent Monday to Friday shift, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to join an established transport and distribution business?

Working within a busy transport operation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and vehicles around the yard, ensuring the smooth running of daily distribution activities.

The Role:

• Safely manoeuvre and position HGV trailers and vehicles around the yard.
• Support daily transport, loading and distribution operations.
• Ensure trailers are positioned correctly to meet operational requirements.
• Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and operational efficiency.
• Monday to Friday, 12:30pm – 9:00pm.

You will need:

What you will receive:

• £16.27 per hour basic rate.
• Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours.
• Eligible for 2 tax-free bonus payments annually
• Consistent Monday to Friday working hours.
