Job summary

Travis Perkins in Warrington is seeking a Yard Assistant to support our busy branch operations. You’ll process customer orders, load and unload vehicles, and help move building materials safely.

Based outdoors, you’ll unload supplier deliveries, log goods into the yard warehouse, and maintain a tidy, safe working environment in line with health and safety guidelines. Training is provided, forklift experience is a plus, and a friendly, proactive approach is valued.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer-facing role requiring enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
• You will handle heavy and bulky stock in a fast-paced yard environment.
• Full training will be provided for safety and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

• This is a key customer facing role, so you will need to be enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills.
• Be confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the Yard, within our health and safety guidelines.
