Job summary

Travis Perkins plc is seeking a Yard Assistant to support daily yard operations and customer service across our branch network. You will help process orders, load and unload vehicles, and accurately log stock into the warehouse with safety at the forefront.

This role requires enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, and physical fitness to handle heavy stock in a dynamic outdoor environment. Training will be provided, with opportunities for development and progression.

• Ability to handle heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift where trained; full training is provided.

• You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.

• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.

• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided

• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

• This is a key customer facing role, so you will need to be enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills.

• Be confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the Yard, within our health and safety guidelines.
