Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applications for a Yard Sales Advisor at our Northallerton branch (DL7 8EE). This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 7:30am–5pm, with alternate Saturdays 8am–12pm.

You will greet customers, identify needs and provide efficient, friendly service on the yard, counter and shop floor. Training is provided for forklift operation and loading/unloading, with opportunities to grow product knowledge and build strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships.
• Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge.
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer and ascertain their needs.
• Ask open questions to understand current and future requirements.
• Maintain high standards across yard, counter and shop floor.
• Operate equipment and carry out offloading, packing, restocking.
• Support sales initiatives to increase revenue and service.
• Continue to grow knowledge of core and specialist product lines.
