Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applications for a full-time Yard Sales Advisor at our Northallerton branch (DL7 8EE). You’ll deliver friendly service, understand customer needs and help drive sales in a busy yard and shop floor.

Working Monday to Friday 7.30am–5pm with every other Saturday 8am–12pm, you’ll load/unload vehicles (forklift training provided) and build strong relationships with builders and tradespeople. Competitive salary, pension and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and identify their needs to deliver fast, friendly service.
• Ask open questions to understand current and future requirements.
• Maintain high standards across yard, counter and shop floor.
• Safely operate machinery and perform offloading, picking, packing, restocking, and loading vehicles.
• Support initiatives to increase sales, margin and service.
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines.
• Load and unload vehicles (manual and forklift; training provided).
