Job summary

Huws Gray in Burnley is seeking a Yard Operative/Relief HGV Driver to support our team in a busy yard. You’ll help customers, receive deliveries, and assist with loading and unloading, with occasional local deliveries when team coverage is needed.

We welcome applicants who enjoy practical, outdoor work. A Class 2 licence is required; Forklift and HIAB training can be provided or recognised as a bonus. Training and development are part of our offer to help you grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 2 driving licence.
• Forklift licence is a bonus.
• HIAB training provided or training will be offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in the yard.
• Safely receive and organise deliveries, keep yard tidy and secure.
• Assist with vehicle loading/unloading to keep deliveries on time.
• Occasional local deliveries when needed (holidays/absences).
• Ensure stock security and follow safety procedures.
