Job summary

Veolia in Hinckley, LE10 3ED, is recruiting for a yard operative on a 45-hour week, with a salary of £35,100 per annum. You will load and unload vehicles and keep the yard tidy and well-organised.

Essentially you will hold a 360 Excavator License (tracked and wheeled), have a strong work ethic, enjoy outdoor work in varying weather, and stay physically fit for manual tasks. Veolia offers pension, training and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 360 Excavator License (Tracked and wheeled) to operate re-handling grab.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles with 360 grab, handling materials and equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and surrounding areas.
• Remove debris, litter, and waste from the premises.
• Perform general yard maintenance including sweeping, tidying, and minor repairs.
• Ensure all equipment and cleaning supplies are properly maintained.
• Report any vehicle damage or maintenance issues to management.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
