We’re recruiting for a Timber Production Operative to join a busy team based in the LE9 area of Leicestershire. • Handling, moving, and processing timber and other materials.
• Assisting with the assembly and manufacture of timber products.
• Operating hand tools and power tools safely.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of production operations.
• Checking finished products to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe.
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
• Carrying out manual handling and other physically demanding duties.
• Working additional hours when required to support business demands.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate:

• Basic hourly rate: £16.56 per hour.
• Overtime rate: £24.84 per hour for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
• Pay progression: Following a successful probationary period, there may be an opportunity for a discretionary, performance-related pay increase.
• Holiday entitlement: Accrued up to 28 days per year, pro rata.

Working Hours:

• Working days: Monday to Friday.
• Shift times: 14:00–22:00.
• Overtime: Available when required, offering an excellent opportunity to boost your weekly earnings. Enjoy a consistent afternoon/evening shift pattern with your weekends free, alongside the opportunity to earn more through additional hours.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in timber, labouring, construction, manufacturing, or production is highly desirable. We’re particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Experience working with timber or in a practical, labour-intensive role.

• A strong work ethic and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the job.
• The ability to undertake physically demanding work.
• A flexible approach to working outdoors in all weather conditions.
