Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Timber Production Operative for a permanent role in the LE9 area of Leicestershire. You will handle timber, assist with production and use hand and power tools in a busy factory environment.

The role is outdoors in all weather with a fixed Monday-to-Friday pattern and overtime when needed. Ideal for someone with timber or labouring experience, a strong work ethic, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous timber, labouring, construction, production, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience using hand tools and/or power tools.
• Strong work ethic and proactive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks.
• Flexibility to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance and timekeeping.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Experience operating a forklift truck (FLT) would be an advantage.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate:

• Basic rate: £13.25 per hour.
• Overtime rate: £19.88 per hour for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
• Pay progression: Following a probationary period, there may be an opportunity for a pay increase based on performance. This is discretionary.
• Holiday entitlement: Accrued up to 28 days per year, pro rata.

Working Hours:

• Days: Monday to Friday.
• Hours: 06:00-14:00.
• Overtime: Excellent opportunities available when required, particularly for candidates willing to go the extra mile.
