Job summary

Huws Gray in Burnley is seeking a Yard Operative/Relief HGV Driver to support our busy yard and delivery operations. This role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work, helping customers, and working as part of a practical team.

You’ll learn on the job with full training, and a Class 2 licence is required; forklift licence is a bonus but not essential. We offer flexible working options and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Training and support will be provided to develop the required skills.
• Must have Class 2 licence; forklift licence is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service in the yard.
• Safely receive and organise deliveries – keep the yard tidy and secure.
• Support with vehicle loading/unloading – help the team get deliveries out on time.
• Make occasional local deliveries – when cover is needed (holidays/absences).
• Be vigilant about stock security and safety procedures.
