Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Yard Operative (TEMP) for a busy hire depot in Biggleswade. This hands-on role involves preparing and ensuring equipment is ready for hire, including washing and general yard duties.

We require experience in construction or plant hire, a valid UK driving licence, and ideally a CSCS card, with a reliable, proactive work approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction or plant hire environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Pressure washing plant, machinery, and equipment.
• Cleaning and preparing equipment for hire and return.
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.
• Carrying out basic inspections and reporting any damage or defects.
• Assisting engineers and yard staff with general duties.
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
• Ensuring wash bay facilities are kept clean and operational.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established hire depot in Biggleswade. This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day running of the yard and ensuring equipment is prepared and ready for hire.

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.

What We’re Looking For
