Owen Payne Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver on behalf of our prestigious client based in the Wolverhampton (WV9) area.

Ongoing, full-time work with a Tuesday to Saturday pattern. A valid accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence, weather‑resistant outdoors work, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid, accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence.
• Experience operating an FLT in a busy environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate an FLT Counterbalance safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload and move products around the yard.
• Receive and dispatch deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard.
• Use jet wash equipment to clean areas.
• Assist with manual handling tasks as required.
• Support the wider team with yard operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating an FLT Counterbalance safely and efficiently.
• Loading, unloading and moving products around the yard.
• Receiving and dispatching deliveries.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard environment.
• Using jet wash equipment to clean designated areas.
• Carrying out manual handling duties where required.
• Supporting the wider team with general yard operations.

What We're Looking For

• A valid, accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence.
• Previous experience operating an FLT in a busy environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
