JB410: Yard Operative

Salary: GBP13 per hour

Location: Ballymena

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Yard Operative on behalf of one of our clients.

To assist in managing the day-to-day running of the yard This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work towards the company s aim of improving and developing effective and efficient procedures regarding yard operations.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Hours will vary between 32 - 48 hours per week as needed. Standard hours of work will be Monday Friday 0800 to 1700 however flexibility to work overtime and/or Saturdays if necessary is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Yard Operative:

• Operate within the company s precast yard,
• Operating a forklift
• Remove the finished products from factories,
• Stacking products neatly in the yard areas as per the planned layout,
• Providing customer service to customers and loading their vehicle/trailer with purchased products,
• Loading lorries with products for larger orders
• General housekeeping duties.

Skills and Qualifications for the Yard Operative:
Essential Criteria:

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, construction, or agricultural industry or experience within a relevant role to the position.
• Understanding of Health & Safety at work.
• Flexibility in working hours and strong adaptability skills.
• Good communication and teamwork experience.
• Good customer service skills.
• Willing to clean and maintain work area.
• An understanding of both written and spoken English.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous work experience in related projects
• CSR / First Aid / Fire Warden Training
