Job description

We are looking for a Yard Operative to join us at Huws Gray Stoke (Blythe Bridge).

This is a temporary role, initially for a period of 3 months.

If you’re in the trade or have experience with home improvement projects, you’ve probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group, comprising brands such as Huws Gray, Hirebase, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI, and Anglia Tool Centre. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the yard, serving customers, and providing materials for their projects. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to excellent customer service and efficient operations.

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities as a Yard Operative:

• Serving customers in the yard and advising on products suitable for their projects
• Assisting with incoming deliveries, organizing stock, and maintaining yard tidiness according to Health & Safety guidelines
• Ensuring all stock is accounted for, reporting any discrepancies or low stock levels to management
• Protecting stock against theft by remaining security conscious

We value individuality and offer comprehensive training and tools to support your success. A forklift license is advantageous but not essential for this role.
