We are looking for a Yard Operative to join us at Huws Gray Saffron Walden!

If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. Our Yard Operatives provide excellent customer service through knowledge of our stock and ensuring products are ready for deliveries and collections. Working in one of our branches, you’ll be part of a team committed to delivering outstanding service and completing tasks efficiently.

Here’s what you can expect as a Yard Operative:

1. Serving customers in the yard and advising on suitable products for their projects.
2. Supporting incoming deliveries, organizing stock, and maintaining a tidy yard in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
3. Assisting drivers by loading and unloading vehicles as part of a team effort.
4. Protecting stock against loss and theft by staying security conscious.

We value individuality and provide comprehensive training and tools to help you succeed. A forklift license is advantageous but not essential.
