Job summary

Chandlers Roofing Supplies in Halesowen is seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join our team. You’ll load and unload roofing materials, pick and prepare customer orders, assist customers collecting goods from the yard, and keep the yard clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Yard or builders’ merchant experience desirable.
• Sales or product knowledge is a bonus.

We’re now looking for a reliable Yard Operative to join our team at our Halesowen branch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Load and unload roofing materials and timber
• Pick and prepare customer orders
• Assist customers collecting goods from the yard
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard area
• Operate forklift trucks (if trained)
• Follow all health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours

• Week 1: Monday – Friday 07:00–16:00
• Week 2: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:00 Every other Saturday 07:00-11:00
