Job summary

Chandlers Building Supplies in Ringmer is seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join our local team. You will load and unload materials, pick and prepare customer orders and assist customers collecting goods from the yard.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence; forklift licence is preferred but not essential. You will maintain a clean, safe yard and follow all health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Yard or builders' merchant experience is preferred.
• Forklift license is preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial or required for access to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials and timber
• Pick and prepare customer orders
• Assist customers collecting goods from the yard
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard area
• Operate forklift trucks (if trained)
