Job summary

Pertemps in Gloucester is seeking a hands-on Yard Operative to join a busy team. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load and unload, move stock, and assist customers by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products.

The role offers consistent full-time hours, a PAYE rate of £12.75 per hour, and the potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity, with ongoing training and development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
• Previous Yard Operative experience (essential).
• Experience in a customer facing environment.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.

Yard Operative

Looking for a hands on role with consistent hours and the opportunity to secure a long term position? Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Yard Operative to join a well established and busy business in Gloucester if you have previous yard experience, hold a valid forklift licence, and have the confidence to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Shift Details:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30
