Job summary

CES Power LLC in Glasgow is seeking a hands-on Depot Operative to keep our depot engineering and logistics running smoothly. You will support high-precision stock control, equipment preparation, forklift driving and depot presentation with safety at the forefront.

Collaborating with a busy team, you’ll deliver daily tasks and KPIs, prioritise workload, and help us set the standard for others to aspire to. This role offers weekday hours with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain stock control and organise depot storage.
• Strong communication to coordinate with depot colleagues.
• Proactive mindset to achieve high standards daily.
• Experience in power engineering and/or hire sector is desirable.
• Forklift license is a plus or training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily depot operations including stock control, conditioning, and storage.
• Oversee equipment checks, preparation, and presentation with safety at the forefront.
• Coordinate with colleagues to maintain efficient depot workflows and KPI delivery.
• Support environmental waste credentials as part of sustainability goals.

About Your Role - this is a key role!

You will be at the heart of the Depot team dynamic responsible for supporting how we ensure the safe and efficient running of our operations at Depot level, supporting our highly trained engineering and support teams to do what we do best -deliver the power our customer needs, whenever and wherever they need it from the construction industry to powering some of your favourite music and sporting events.

What you'll be doing

• Key to our success is the smooth and efficient day to day running of our depot engineering and logistic operations - you will be involved and take the lead on stock control/conditioning/proper placement/storage, forklift driving (our generators are mighty fine pieces of kit), valeting of equipment, checking and preparation of equipment, setting the standard of depot presentation and organisation and general housekeeping, with safety at the fore front of your mind at all times.
• You will also be in constant communication and collaboration with your colleagues - our Depots are a hive of activity and the coordination of activities is vital.
• Deliver daily and weekly key tasks and KPIs covering timing, quality & standards
• Working with the team and with the greater good in mind, you'll prioritise and coordinate your workload, and ensure that your Depot is the benchmark for others to aspire to.
• You’ll also help save the planet by driving our environmental waste credentials.

• Preferably a forklift truck license but not essential as we'll train you as part of our approach to development
