Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Operative in the UK to support the Service Centre. You will prepare and clean equipment, ensure items are ready for hire, and maintain a tidy, safe yard and workshop environment.

Expect daily interaction with customers during loading and unloading activities. The role requires physical fitness, teamwork, and a proactive approach to safety, with training opportunities provided to enhance skills and career development within a market-leading equipment rental

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to perform daily tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Organised approach with the ability to complete duties on time.
• Good customer service skills.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to undertake training.
• Awareness of Health and Safety; PPE knowledge and COSHH is an advantage.

About The Role

The work pattern for this role will include 12 hour nights, 4 on 4 off, 6pm to 6am

In the role of Yard Operative you'll play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Service Centre. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire.

Your duties will include:

• Cleaning and preparing equipment
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
• Liaising with customers on a day to day basis when loading and unloading job

Working- 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour days, 6am to 6pm
