Pertemps Bond is recruiting for a Yard Operative in Cheltenham to join a well established client. The role is temp to perm with full-time hours and a wage of £13.00 per hour, paid weekly during the temporary period.

The position involves physical yard work, manual handling, equipment cleaning and preparing materials to support maintenance operations. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling.
• Good attention to detail when inspecting and preparing equipment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in yard/warehouse/manufacturing or maintenance environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Picking materials and equipment for maintenance activities
• Cleaning equipment and products to the required company standards
• Carrying out regular manual handling and lifting duties
• Inspecting items and equipment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Organising materials and maintaining stock levels within the yard
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment
• Carrying out general yard duties to support the day to day operation
• Moving vehicles and equipment around the site when required

This role is hands on and physically active, involving manual handling, yard duties, equipment cleaning, and preparing materials to support maintenance operations. Due to the nature of the role and site requirements, a full UK driving licence is essential.
