Job summary

Siamo Recruitment a division of Siamo Group is seeking a proactive Yard Logistics Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy TopUsed vehicle yard. You will ensure safe movement, preparation and presentation of used commercial vehicles.

Working closely with Sales, Workshop and Operations, you will maintain yard organisation, manage check-in/out procedures, and support customer handovers while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HGV licence holders preferred for yard operations.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Basic IT skills, including Word/Excel, to manage documents and records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day organisation and operation of the TopUsed vehicle yard.
• Complete vehicle check-in and check-out procedures with accurate documentation.
• Maintain yard organisation, vehicle traceability and space management.
• Coordinate vehicle handovers with customers and liaise with workshop teams.
• Ensure vehicles are moved safely around site following licence and site procedures.
• Support health and safety compliance across yard operations.

Are you an organised, hands-on logistics professional with an HGV licence? We're looking for a proactive Yard Logistics Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy TopUsed vehicle yard.

This is a key operational role where you'll ensure the smooth, safe and efficient movement, preparation and presentation of used commercial vehicles.

You'll work closely with our Sales, Workshop and Operations teams to ensure vehicles are ready for customer handover, while maintaining exceptional yard organisation and high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day organisation and operation of the TopUsed vehicle yard.
• Complete vehicle check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain effective yard organisation, vehicle traceability and space management.
• Control vehicle keys and coordinate customer handovers.
• Liaise with workshop teams and external valeting providers to ensure vehicles are prepared and ready within agreed timescales.
• Drive and move commercial vehicles safely around the site in accordance with licence requirements and site procedures.
• Refuel vehicles where required, following all health and safety procedures.
• Ensure the yard is maintained to a high professional standard, supporting both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Promote and maintain compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Provide support to additional TopUsed sites when required on a temporary or rotational basis.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid HGV Licence (essential).
• Previous experience within a vehicle logistics, transport, automotive or yard environment (preferred).
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Operations and Workshop teams.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a vehicle operating environment.
