Job summary

Coinford Ltd in Smallfield is seeking a full-time Yard Operative to support loading, unloading and yard operations. The role runs Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00, 45 hours per week, with own transport preferred.

You will ensure correct picking, loading and checks are carried out, maintain yard housekeeping and follow current lifting plans and RAMS where applicable. This position offers a stable route within a family-run construction company.

Qualifications

• Experience with yard loading/unloading operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for construction yards.
• Ability to follow lifting plans and RAMS when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working environment and follow Health & Safety systems.
• Maintain yard housekeeping to a high standard.
• Ensure equipment is fit for purpose and loads are safe for movement.
• Carry out load checks against picking lists and unload/arrive promptly at the yard.
• Coordinate with transport department and Yard Supervisor for the next day loads.
