Job summary

Corus Consultancy Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Yard Operative / Driver to perform basic vehicle movement, handling and storage duties in line with site and customer requirements. Day shifts and Twilight shifts are available.

The role involves using handheld scanners to track vehicle movements, conducting basic vehicle checks, and ensuring proper parking according to customer standards. A full valid driver’s license and the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles are

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Must be comfortable driving manual and automatic vehicles.
Ability to work under pressure.
Full valid driver’s licence.
2 years' experience in a similar driving role.
First Aid and/or Fire Marshall certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carrying out basic vehicle movement and handling.
Using HHD scanners to scan, locate and direct all vehicle movements.
Carrying out basic vehicle checks and report findings to line manager.
Ensuring all vehicles are parked as per customer standards.
Responsibility for your own safety and of those who work around you.
Maintain a safe driving standard and adhere to site speed limits.
Checking all vehicles for damage before moving and reporting any damage.
Carrying out other yard operation duties as requested by the yard chain of command.
