Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Yard Customer/Sales Expert to join our busy outdoor yard team. You’ll greet customers, process orders, load/unload vehicles and help keep the yard safe and organized.

You’ll work with colleagues to deliver first-class service, build relationships with customers, and enjoy training and development opportunities within our nationwide business. You will be eligible for our TP development scheme and a competitive package, with weekends and bank holidays balanced to

Responsibilities

• Deal with customers in the yard and on orders, including large customers.
• Based outdoors; load and unload vehicles and process deliveries.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them into the yard warehouse.

• Maintain a safe, tidy and compliant work environment.

Joining our friendly and hard working family as a Yard Customer/Sales Expert, you’ll be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard; playing a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service and keeping colleagues and customers safe at all times.

What will I be doing?

No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but here are a few pointers:

• Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
• You will be based outside, processing our customer orders (including those from some of our larger customers), loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

This is a key customer facing role, you need the ability to provide great customer service, build and develop effective customer relationships and work as part of a team. We can teach you the rest.
