Elliotts is recruiting a Yard Assistant to be on the frontline, serving customers in the yard and ensuring top-notch service. The role includes forklift-assisted handling, loading/unloading lorries, and proper paperwork for goods received from suppliers.

A friendly, professional team environment awaits in our long‑standing South of England business. Hours are 40 per week with a full-time contract, based in Lymington.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence preferred; training can be provided.
• Valid driving licence is required.
• Knowledge of building materials is advantageous and can be trained.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, professional and helpful demeanor is expected.
• Able to load/unload with forklift and support yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers in the yard, manually and with a forklift.
• Loading/unloading lorries.
• Receiving and storing products from suppliers and handling paperwork.
• Housekeeping in the yard.
