Job summary

The Education Specialists are recruiting for a Qualified Primary Teacher to join a Year 4 class in Oldham. The role is full-time and long-term, with duties including planning and delivering exciting lessons and managing behaviour in line with the school’s policies.

You will assess pupil progress, provide feedback, and work collaboratively with colleagues to raise attainment and support pupils’ learning journeys. DBS checks and QTS are required, with NQT options available.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and UK primary teaching experience.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure (online update service) or willing to obtain DBS.
• NQT's will be considered.
• Outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of children and learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Work with KS1 and KS2 pupils and manage behaviour per school policy.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Complete marking and leave thorough handover notes for continuity.

Job description

The Education Specialists (TES)are a recruitment business, recruiting on behalf of a school in Oldham for a Qualified Primary Teacher totake on a Y4 position, full time long term.

This role will include various tasks such as:

• Planning and delivering of engaging lessons.
• Being willing and able to work with KS1 and KS2 pupils, managing behaviour in line with school policies.
• Delivering engaging and interesting lessons in line with the current National Curriculum
• Ensuring all marking is completed and hand over notes are left.
• Engaging with the pupils and keeping them on task, assisting with queries where possible.
• Dealing with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school policies and procedures.
• Assessing pupil progress

Applicant requirements:

• Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status, have experience teaching in UK primary schools and be able to fully commit to the post.
• All applicants will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure registered with the online update service or be willing to purchase a new one.
• The school will consider NQT's.
• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has high expectations of children and their learning.
• Has knowledge of effective strategies to raise attainment and progress & can work well as part of a team.
• Is creative and constantly looking for ways to engage and inspire children.
• Has good organisational and classroom management skills.

Details of the role:

• This role commences as soon a suitable applicant is recruited.
• This role is full time, Mon - Fri but a part-time option will be considered.
• Successful candidates will be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.
