Job summary

Holt Engineering Ltd in Poole, Dorset is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join the workshop team. The role involves programming, setting and operating XYZ CNC machines on a full-time basis, with a salary range of £17ph to £19ph and on-site parking.

You will manufacture high-precision components to tight tolerances, read engineering drawings, and maintain quality and safety standards in a hands-on environment. Long-term stability and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Experience programming, setting, and operating XYZ CNC machines, CNC lathes, and CNC mills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating XYZ CNC machines.
• Working on manual lathes and milling machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Selecting tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new programs.
• Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Carrying out self-inspection throughout production using measuring equipment.
• Deburring and finishing components where required.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and health & safety.
