Job summary

SMBC Group in the UK is seeking a Software Developer for the XVA development team to build and maintain the XVA simulations, applications and tools. You will work with the XVA desk, trading desks and risk teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

In a global, agile environment you will collaborate across regions, improve performance and reliability, and support mission-critical systems while mentoring others where needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices.
• Background in mathematical finance (IR derivatives, XVA, CVA/DVA/FVA).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain XVA simulations, applications and tools.
• Collaborate with XVA desk, trading desks and risk teams across regions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Improve software performance and operational reliability.
• Provide technical support and mentoring as needed.
