Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment & Sales Solutions Limited is seeking a Practice Accountant to manage a small portfolio of SME clients from our Lowton base. You’ll own client relationships, handle year-end accounts, VAT, and payroll, and ensure records are accurate across Xero-powered clients.

You’ll work closely with the Director in a flexible, friendly team, with full-time or part-time hours and a local, supportive environment perfect for experienced practice accountants who value personal connection

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
• Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Very comfortable using Xero.
• Confident with accounts preparation, VAT and tax work.
• Comfortable speaking directly with business owners.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of SME clients and be their main contact.
• Prepare year-end accounts and financial statements.
• Handle VAT returns and corporation tax/self‑assessment work.
• Manage payroll and filings for clients.
• Review bookkeeping and ensure accuracy of records.
